The tree is still up in Portsmouth
Though nary a jingle in sight
The calendar’s leaning towards Easter
But still Yule in the Square’s the sight
Some may say the city forgot
To dismantle the holiday tree
But I say we need magic aplenty
To help heal wounded elbow and knee
From slipping and sliding on ice
And mucking through all of that slush
If we must keep up all of this shoveling
At least leave the tree—it’s a nice touch.
