Pleasant, right? (Get it?! Because it’s on Pleasant Street?)This was the scene at Portsmouth Book and Bar last Thursday afternoon.
It took all of my self control to return to work from my tasty lunch there instead of sinking into the couch with one of their books for the afternoon. It would seem that we’re in that magical lull between summer tourists and Christmas visitors, when weekdays mean lovely spots like this are up for grabs.
Order the curry chicken salad—it’s very tasty. Or, order a soup of the day. You’ll get a side salad with it, and a warm piece of bread. It’s perfect for a cold day when you’re not SUPER hungry but want something tasty.
