In case you’re wondering where you can get the best hot cider in town and watch people go by the square while you’re perusing the latest copy of The Sound, my answer is: Popover’s on the Square! I was lucky enough last week to snag a window table just as a couple was leaving, even though the place was packed with lunchtime patrons.
Last year I tried the cider all over town, and I’m telling you, Popover’s is the best. The Works cider is pretty good, and locally-sourced of course, but Popovers is truly a SPICED hot cider. Cinnamon and … I don’t know, I’m no chef. But it’s really tasty.
Great with apple crumb cake and a heaping helping of local news.
