Thursday, October 26th:
- 12 – 3pm: Being Fierce & Fabulous Women Expo @ UNH Hamel Recreation Center
- 4pm: Hoist Away Bags Open Studios @ Hoist Away Bags
- 5:30 – 8:15pm: Seacoast West African Dance (feat. Youssouf Koumbassa) & Drum (w/ Namory Keita) @ The Dance Hall — world-renowned African dance and drum pros coming to Kittery for fun classes for all levels of experience.
- 6:30 – 9:30pm: Open Screen @ 3S Artspace — Boston Open Screen comes to Portsmouth, for an open mic night for local short films! Bring one to share or come to watch.
- 6:30 – 8:30pm — Get Out @ Portsmouth Public Library — free movie, free snacks! This film made a big splash earlier this year, so if you haven’t seen it yet, now’s a great chance!
- 7 – 9pm: Read Free or Die @ Portsmouth Book & Bar — Hear readers from UNH’s MFA program read fiction and poetry. This month’s readers: Jamie Alliotts, Ryan Cadigan, Amy Neswald, Anna Ohara, Rhosalyn Williams, and Becca Van Horn
- 7:30pm: The Winter’s Tale — Seven Stages Shakespeare Company comes to Newmarket Mills (show will run Th/Fr/Sa at 7:30pm 10/26 – 11/4).
Friday, October 27th:
- 5:30 – 8pm: Ghosts on the Banke @ Strawbery Banke — Family-friendly stories, trick-or-treating and bonfire at the Banke!
- 6pm: Say Darling @ The Dance Hall in Kittery — Say Darling is Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Celia Woodsmith (watch her TEDxPiscataquaRiver talk here), critically-acclaimed guitarist Chris Hersch, virtuosic Hammond organ player Scott Coulter, with veteran rhythm section players Paul Chase on bass and Jared Seabrook on drums.
Saturday, October 28th:
- 2 – 3:30pm: 12th Annual Dover Zombie Walk @ Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce

- 4 – 6pm: Gather + Snap @ South End, Portsmouth — Head out into the South End of Portsmouth to practice taking better phone pics, with Raya on Assignment & Seacoast Lately.
- 7pm: Horror Movie Trivia @ 3S Artspace — with Bunny Wonderland!
Monday, October 30th
Tuesday, October 31st (Halloween!)
- 7pm: Portsmouth Halloween Parade @ Portsmouth — Meet at 6pm at Peirce Island, March leaves at 7pm and goes throughout downtown Portsmouth. Whether you march or watch, it’s a not-to-be-missed spook-ticle! One of Portsmouth’s largest events of the year. Last we heard, it outgrew even Market Square Day’s crowd numbers.
- 8pm: Halloween Fun Frights @ Rira Irish Pub
- 9pm: 3S Halloween Extravaganza ft. Kat Wright & Harsh Armadillo — This’ll be THE SPOT Halloween night — meet there after the parade for a true par-tay!
