It’s voting day tomorrow here in Portsmouth (and many surrounding cities), and in addition to updating my Local Politics info page, I thought I’d give a shoutout to our creative city’s sign designs.
The first really cool design I saw was on Tristan Law’s campaign handouts, drawn by the talented Kenley Darling:

I love the concept—warmly embracing the seaport city.
Next, I noticed Chris Dwyer’s sign on a walk around town the other day:

Is it me, or does the arrangement of buildings and negative space in the letters of her name suggest a steeple? This tickled my fancy quite a bit. I just love our North Church.
Another candidate with well-designed materials is Stefany Shaheen. I’ve admired the clean, friendly look of the few mailings that my roommates and I have received at our house, but really loved this design I saw on Facebook today:
